Sipping the Truth

Veteran cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko has closed the book on allegations he took a sip of alcohol while serving aboard the International Space Station, according to Russian news reports.

OK, but what about the jello shots in the Melfi? Just wonderin'....

Personally, I dont think that anyone shoulddrink alchohol, but if they have a little in space, it doesnt seem like thatbig a deal. It wouldent upset me to learn that some astronauts had had a bit, as long as it wasnt too much

What happened to your wise criticism of NASA? Do they have your balls in a vise?

I brought back from Russia a couple of official flight packets of cosmonaut brandy from the Mir days. (It's actually about 20% alcohol -- closer to the strength of port than cognac.) I see nothing wrong with their having a nip as long as it's not too much and at non-critical times.

I second that. We want angst.
